- Deal with folks you can meet locally. If they do not want to meet with you in person this may be a scam. Use caution.
- Fake cashier checks & money orders, banks will cash them and hold you responsible. When the fake is discovered you may be held responsible, this may take several weeks to discover.
- Never give out any financial information. Bank account number, social security number, PayPal or eBay information etc.
- Never wire funds via Western Union, Money Gram or any other type of wire service. If you are instructed it most likely is a scam.
